DMG/Mori hosts open house in Germany

The event includes factory tours and seminars on automation, and die/mold engineering.

PFRONTEN, Germany — DMG MORI launched the firm's 2014 open house in Pfronten, Germany today with the global launch of 8 new machines, and 19 in the new DMG MORI design.

The event, which runs until Friday, will host over 6,000 visitors from around the world.

Displays inside the plant include 73 technology exhibits and seminars on automation, aerospace, lifecycle services and die/mold engineering.

Machine technologies include high performance vertical machining with the new DMC V range, a fourth generation duoBLOCK design and the CTX beta 800 TC turn/mill machine.

A press conference featured DMG MORI SEIKI AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT chair Dr. Rudiger Kapitza, board member Christian Thones and DMG MORI SEKI COMPANY president Dr. Masahiko Mori.

The event includes factory tours of the Pfronten machine production facility.
