BIG Kaiser hosts 4th annual Breakfast & Learn event

Visitors to BIG Kaiser’s 4th annual Breakfast & Learn event had the opportunity to discuss their applications with company experts.

BIG Kaiser in Hoffman Estates, Ill., again opened the doors of its showroom for the annual Breakfast & Learn event May 17-19.

Six presentations covering topics from boring tips and tricks to toolholder service and maintenance to zero-point clamping provided the structured “learn” part of the three-day event. Displays of the latest tooling, toolholding, workholding, and presetting, along with experts in each area, gave visitors the opportunity to ask questions based on their specific applications.

One of the new products on display was the BIG Daishowa integrated damping system and finishing boring head. The integrated design shortens the distance from the damper and the cutting edge to create a higher damping effect and minimize vibration. It is available with dial or digital readouts.
