Metl-Span, Hamilton, Ont., a manufacturer of insulated metal panels (IMPs), hosted a grand opening ceremony for its new production facility in Hamilton in early May.

More than 150 guests celebrated the opening of the 24,000-sq.-ft. plant, located at the Port of Hamilton. They were able to see the facility first-hand and participate in tours while the plant was manufacturing an IMP order.

“With Metl-Span now operating in Canada, our customers here and in the northeastern and north central U.S. can benefit from lower delivery costs for all of their metal panel needs,” said Steve Zirkel, president of Metl-Span. “We are also very excited to be a part of the Hamilton community and provide job opportunities and business here.”
