Fiber laser cutting system features carbon fiber carriage, synthetic granite frame

Prima Power offers the Laser Genius 2-D fiber laser cutting system. High-dynamic linear motors help ensure a 15 percent increase in productivity compared with conventional drive systems, states the company. It has a variety of automation modules, and CNC proprietary management increases accuracy in cutting and head positioning.

The system features linear motors on the X and Y axes, a carbon fiber carriage, a synthetic granite frame, proprietary hardware and software for laser process control, and a 6-kW fiber laser. Other features include a safe impact protection system, high dynamic focal axis with 1.38-in. stroke, lens drawer with a quick alignment system, and a protection glass drawer for easy inspection.
