Wilson Tool Acquires Exacta

Wilson Tool Intl., White Bear Lake, Minn., has acquired Exacta Precision and Exacta FabTool of Toronto. Both companies have been suppliers of tooling for the fabrication and stamping industries since the mid-1960s.

“The merger of these great family-owned companies represents a strong step forward for our organizations,” said Brian Robinson, CEO of Wilson Enterprises. “Each company will immediately enhance their product offerings and geographical coverage, which, in the end, is great news for our customers across North America and beyond.”

The addition of these Canadian manufacturing organizations will extend Wilson Tool’s manufacturing capabilities. By expanding manufacturing operations in the U.S., England, China, and now Canada, Wilson Tool says it is better able to serve its growing customer base around the world.

“We are really excited about this move,” said Robinson at the recent FABTECH tradeshow in Atlanta. “It really fits well with Wilson Tool’s core, and also rounds out our product line.”

There will be no immediate change in operations for the companies. However, as the integration process moves forward, both Exacta and Wilson Tool customers will have increased availability of existing product lines from each manufacturer as well as additional product lines to be made available soon.

The acquisition adds an ironworker product line to Wilson’s core tooling.
