At FABTECH 2015, Bystronic will showcase the latest developments in their laser, bending and software product lines at their booth S919.

The BySprint Fiber portfolio now includes a 6 kW Fiber laser source for its 3015 and 4020 machine formats. The BySprint Fiber 3015 with 6000 watt Fiber laser will be shown with the ByTrans Extended automated material handling system for the loading and unloading of flat sheets and cut parts.

The higher power considerably increases the BySprint Fiber’s cutting speed in the thin to medium range sheet metal thickness. A 6 kW Fiber laser cuts 1/8th inch stainless steel up to 70 per cent faster than a 4 kW Fiber laser. Its speed advantage is even more pronounced when compared to cutting the same material with a 6 kW CO2 laser source where the 6 kW Fiber laser is three times faster.

Depending on the type of material and the sheet thickness, parts output can be increased by up to 400 percent. BySprint Fiber 4020 accommodates larger sheet sizes which deliver 78 per cent additional area for cutting and 78 per cent larger part processing capability than the BySprint Fiber 3015. BySprint Fiber features a fully developed material parameter library for each material and thickness for optimum results from the very first experience.

Equipped with the ByTrans Extended compact material handling system, the BySprint Fiber can generate highly productive and efficient job flows through higher machine utilization, expanded operations and reduced labor costs. ByTrans Extended incorporates two cassettes which makes the machine system even more autonomous. It is designed not just for storage/return transfer but also for large parts removal as well as the preparation of plastic protective separators which are placed between metal sheets by the system.
