Over Two Hundred Attend Amada Innovation Expo 2014

Amada's Innovation Expo 2014 wraps up today with a bending automation seminar and an extensive machinery demonstration program at the firm's Schaumberg, Illinois technical centre.

Productivity in bending and fiber laser cutting and welding are the themes, with robotics, automated tool change systems and a new laser welding technology with advanced capability in highly reflective materials. Modelling and process simulation are also prominent.

“The best bang for your buck is with an integrated system", said Scott Ottens, bending product manager for Amada America Inc. adding, "integrators can't deliver the highest productivity with general purpose robotics put together separately.”

Over two hundred attendees have visited the Expo. The three-day event coincides with the IMTS show in Chicago.
