Wilson Tool International® has introduced the QuickTap™ tapping tool to help eliminate secondary operations related to the creation of tapped holes.
The tool taps a threaded hole with every machine stroke, completing up to 200 holes per minute depending on material type/thickness and tap size. According to the company, the tool produces accurate threads at any programmed location on the sheet.
A built-in tapping fluid injection system is synchronized with the machine stroke to help reduce wear and breakage. Its large tank enables tapping of up to 40,000 holes before refilling.
