LVD Strippit’s VX series of CNC turret punch presses are designed for fast processing of thin sheet materials. They combine a 20-metric-ton hydraulic ram with a 48-station turret.
This new generation of punch press employs an energy-saving hydraulic press drive and motor system optimized for high-speed operation, which delivers axis speeds of up to 530 hits per minute on 1-in. centers and up to 1,750 SPM.
Three work clamps can be programmed to a position on the X carriage and individually relocated to a new position within the part program. This reduces or eliminates “no punch” zones, increasing material utilization, the company reports.
A double-track turret provides a configuration of 48 stations featuring four standard 3.5-in., autoindexable stations that can utilize the latest wheel tool technology. Every station accepts shaped punches and dies and can be further enhanced with the addition of indexable multitools. This results in minimized turret setup times and higher productivity.
A 1-in. feed clearance between the upper and lower turret allows forming of lances, louvers, embossments, and card-guides.
These punch presses feature a table with the capacity to handle sheet weights of up to 330 lbs. A full brush table minimizes noise and part scratching and permits changeover or replacement of individual brushes.
