Creform Corp. has designed and built a kitting cart for an aerospace manufacturer. It features four custom level shelf sections in the front and a vertical storage section in the back. Each shelf level has three storage positions to store ready-to-assemble kits.
Pipe and joint are used to support the kitted products. The vertical storage section has lightweight plastic walls for containment and provides space for larger parts that could not fit in the kitted sections.
The unit features six 5-in.-dia. casters for portability, and the open design lets the user quickly see and retrieve desired parts. With dimensions of 96 by 38 by 70 in., the cart can hold up to 1,000 lbs.
