Cortec has introduced BioPad, a flexible, corrosion-inhibiting fabric constructed from biobased nonwoven material. Placed in a package with metal items, it protects the parts and leaves them ready for use. The fabric protects ferrous and nonferrous metals, as well as alloys such as galvanized and carbon steels, copper, brass, aluminum, and zinc. It is free of nitrites and chromates.
The product conforms to NACE Standards TM0208-2008 and RP0487-2000, as well as MIL-I-22110C. It is a USDA-certified biobased product.
