Welding fume extraction system increases energy efficiency

ULT LLC has introduced the Airtower for welding fume extraction and filtration, based on the layer ventilation principle. Contaminated air is aspirated, filtered, and discharged as clean, breathable air at ground level with no air drafts. The company reports that the filtration degree is greater than 99.9 per cent.
Purified air is fed back into the working environment, so it can be used for heating the work area. Filter cartridges with incident flow technology and ventilators with integrated controllers help reduce power consumption. Automated cartridge filter cleaning technology delivers further energy savings.
