MakerOS software aids collaboration among 3D printing teams, clients

MakerOS has released a new version of its MakerOS software that helps 3D printing and digital fabrication teams collaborate with each other and clients. Included are updates to the automated quoting system, 3D CAD file viewer, and client portal, as well as a new project board system. The improvements are intended to better sync sales and engineering teams to streamline workflows and develop products faster, reports the company.

The software’s communication hub lets companies and their clients use messaging that’s specific to a particular project. Project managers and their clients can attach 3D CAD or any other files to messages, which are stored inside the project's file repository.

The new, fully integrated online 3D viewing and inspection tools offer similar functionality to most slicer software programs. They’re designed to create an all-in-one, project management-to-client experience without leaving the platform.
