Skills Ontario has announced May #SkillsAnywhereChallenge

Skills Ontario has launched its fourth challenge in the #SkillsAnywhereChallenge series, a program aiming to inspire and encourage Ontarians of all ages to explore the skilled trades and technologies.

May’s challenge asks participants to design and build a miniature park using only popsicle sticks, string, scissors, and a hot glue gun.

By measuring and forging pieces together, participants get an at-home experience of the world of manufacturing, a skilled trade sector in need of skilled professionals. First, second, and third place winners will be awarded with $25 gift cards. Submissions can be sent in via social media or email.

On the first Monday of every month, Skills Ontario introduces a new challenge that will test Ontarians’ skills in creativity, planning, and more. These activities are versatile and can be done at home, on one’s own, in the classroom, or with family or friends.

Within the guidelines at skillsontario.com/skillsanywhere is the full set of rules, as well as a scoring rubric.
