Hurco will display the VMX42SRTi 5-axis machine with a direct-drive C-axis rotary table at the Elliott Matsuura Canada booth.
The design of the machine features a flush rotary torque table. For 5-axis parts, the embedded C-axis rotary table supports taller parts because it has more than 3.5 in. of additional space in the Z axis. For 3-axis work, the increased table size supports parts up to 42 by 24 in.
Basic specifications of this machine tool are X, Y, and Z travels of 42, 24, and 24 in., respectively; a 12,000-RPM spindle; 40-station swing-arm ATC; rapids of 1,378, 1,378, and 1,181 IPM; and the integrated Hurco control that includes both conversational and NC programming modes.
