Bombardier appoints new President of Aerostructures & Engineering Services

Jean Séguin has officially been appointed as president of Bombardier Aerostructures & Engineering Services. In his new functions, Mr. Séguin will oversee the activities of this new business segment that was introduced in July as Bombardier's new organizatinal structure. The new Aerostructures and Engineering Services business segment will specialize in the design and development of complex advanced composite and metallic aerostructures in all classes of civil aircraft and all categories of structure, including fuselages, wings and engine nacelles. He will report directly to Pierre Beaudoin, President and Chief Executive Officer, Bombardier Inc.

Jean Séguin is an aviation veteran with over 30 years of service to the industry.  He first position in the aerospace industry was in 1981 when joined Canadair as a Composites Material Engineer. Throughout his career,  Séguin has held several managerial positions at Bombardier Aerospace, including Vice President, Operations; Vice President, Engineering and Supply Chain; and Vice President, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing and New Programs. Mr. Séguin holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal and a Master of Business Administration from McGill University.
