The ongoing global growth of DMG/Mori Seiki continues with the latest collaboration emerging in Mexico.
DMG/Mori Seiki Mexico is a new collaboration between two of the industry’s largest machine tool builders. The combined staff of both companies will offer expanded service and support from the exiting Mexican Technical Centres. Sales staff will be based in Quertaro, Mexico, while service and parts personnel will be based in Queretaro and Mexico City.
DMG and Mori Seiki first joined forces last year to the surprise of many industry watchers. The new entity made its North American debut at IMTS in Chicago, IL, in September 2010 and then made it's Asian debut at JIMTOF 2010 in late October in Tokyo, Japan. DMG Mori Seiki Mexico will make its official debut at Expo Bancomer Santa Fe, scheduled for March 8-11, 2011.
DMG and Mori Seiki are currently working together in 31 per cent of countries around the world.
In Canada, DMG and Mori Seiki continue to operate as separate companies. DMG Canada is based in Mississauga, ON. Mori Seiki is represented in Canada by Ellison Technologies, the largest machine tool distributor in North America.
Ellison became Mori Seiki’s exclusive Canadian distributor in August 2010. In partnership with Mori Seiki, it set up an operation in Mississauga, ON, and includes a technical centre and showroom.
