Record sales celebrated at Delcam’s 25th Sales Partner Meeting

Delcam’s 25th Annual Sales Partner Meeting, which was held in Stratford last week, attracted over 250 delegates from 33 countries, the highest attendance in the company’s history. This record number of delegates for the event reflected Delcam’s continued growth, both in terms of its geographic reach and in the increasing diversity of the applications of its range of software.
The Meeting was in buoyant mood from the opening speech by Chief Executive, Clive Martell, during which he announced that the company’s turnover last year had exceeded £40 million for the first time. Sales for the second half of 2011 had set a new record for a six-month period, continuing a rising trend in sales that had seen record levels in each of the previous three six-month periods.
The rise in revenues would lead to further expansion in Delcam’s software development team, with Mr. Martell promising to continue to invest heavily in R & D. “Even though we have the largest development team in the CAM industry, with more than 200 software developers, we will continue to increase our expenditure in this area,” he claimed.
The results of this investment were demonstrated over the three days of the meeting. Major releases are planned for the full range of the company’s software during the coming months, both for the established manufacturing products and for the newer systems for the healthcare industry.
At the awards ceremony during the meeting, Delcam USA was presented with the Top Sales Partner for 2011, further evidence Delcam’s continued growth in the country that remains the world’s biggest market for CAD/CAM.
Mr. Martell also told the Meeting about his ambitious plans for the year ahead, with higher sales growth being targeted in all areas of the company’s business. He felt that this was quite achievable with global machine tool sales continuing to increase, a trend which, historically, has lead to growing CAM software sales.
