SW North America opens new headquarters

SW North America, a subsidiary of Schwäbische Werkzeugmaschinen, has opened a new, 40,000-sq.-ft., $12 million manufacturing facility in New Hudson, Mich.

The company designs and manufactures multispindle horizontal machining centres and manufacturing systems.

“Our New Hudson manufacturing facility allows SW North America Inc. to expand its foothold in the growing automotive market while increasing its customer base in the industrial, aerospace and defence, alternative energy, transportation, consumer products, and medical sectors,” said James Campbell, president/CSO.

Mark Reichenbacher, president/CEO, SW North America, added that the company will employ 50 people at the new facility.
