FANUC Canada introduces Zero Down Time (ZDT) industrial IoT technology

FANUC Canada will demonstrate its Zero Down Time (ZDT) industrial IoT technology at CMTS.
The company’s augmented reality (AR) experience features several manufacturing challenges in which ZDT can help. It is a cloud-based technology for FANUC robot customers offering predictive analytics that can prevent unexpected downtime.
Since its introduction in 2015, it has successfully identified potential equipment issues and notified customers to take corrective actions and avoid unexpected downtime in over 600 cases, saving companies more than $75 million, the company reports.
