Allied Machine & Engineering Guided T-A drill suitable for mouldmaking applications

Allied Machine & Engineering has introduced the Guided T-A drill for moldmaking applications, such as producing water lines at intersecting holes in varying diameters.
Two major hurdles for mouldmakers of large components are tool failure in deep cross-holes and poor chip evacuation. According to the manufacturer, drill addresses both of these challenges.
The drill minimizes the clearance between the holder and blade and maintains increased stability in deeper holes. It incorporates guided wear pads for straightness and stability and two adjustable Torx Plus screw pins for TIR reduction through a simple diameter adjustment. These details enable the unit to drill up to an 84-in. depth of cut while producing balanced cutting forces and small chips for optimal evacuation.
