Mapal’s Titan-Drill-Steel features three cutting edges

Mapal has introduced the Tritan-Drill-Steel with three cutting edges for the cutting of steel.

The three individual chisel edge segments reliably centre the tool and prevent oscillating movements, the company states.

The drill also has a newly designed main cutting edge. The resulting stable cutting edges reduce the mechanical loads. The coating is adapted for the machining of steel to help increase wear-resistance and lengthen tool life, the manufacturer reports.

The drill is suitable for drilling cross bores or inclined bore entrances. It is available 4 to 20 mm dia. in 3, 5, 8, and 12xD designs.
