Greenleaf Corp. has launched the XSYTIN®-1 ceramic insert grade.
This new grade is a phase-toughened ceramic insert grade engineered to machine more materials than any other ceramic grade, the company says. It is designed to mill, turn, and groove difficult-to-cut materials at extreme feed rates with the high surface footage of ceramic inserts.
The grade is suitable for use in interrupted cuts, removal of scale, roughing, semi-finish, and finish cuts in heat-resistant superalloy materials, cast irons, nodular irons, ductile irons, steel alloys, and stainless steels.
