Saint Gobain has introduced an upgrade to its Norton Gemini Rightcut wheels, an aluminum-oxide tool for cutting steel and ferrous metals.
The latest-generation tools are 100 percent aluminum-oxide abrasive, infused with a new bond technology and process, for a thinner wheel design and low kerf loss. The wheels are 0.045 in. wide and result in less material waste and quick cutting action, the company states.
These wheels are suitable for portable, guarded right-angle grinders and can be used for numerous metal slotting and cutoff applications, including cutting bolts and studs, angle iron, tubing, and sheet metal. Type 01 (4 to 7 in.) and Type 27 (4 to 9 in.) wheels are available.
