NDT Products Splitter wastewater filtration system uses nano-, ultra-filtration membranes

Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Products has released the Splitter 2X and 4X machines in its line of wastewater filtration equipment.

The equipment uses nano- and ultra-filtration membranes to remove chemicals, oils, dyes, and pigments, thereby reducing the amount of wastewater disposal and creating a more environmentally conscious workplace. These systems can handle a nominal volume of 200 gal. per day and 400 gal. per day of wastewater, respectively.

These membrane filtration machines are designed to run virtually on their own with a Siemens PLC that monitors and records a variety of operating factors including pressure, temperature, flow rate, and cleaning cycle. Data can be stored on a removable USB stick for data transfer or remote diagnostics. They also have a touchscreen panel.

The removable membrane housing is made of stainless steel and is configured horizontally in the unit.

The membranes themselves have been redesigned to improve efficiency and longevity, the company states. A built-in carbon polish has been implemented for added filtration of the clean permeate water.

These machines can be used for treating aqueous (waterbased) cleaners, machine coolants and water-soluble cutting oils, air compressor condensate, and oil-water emulsions.
