Thomas Skinner CMM Tech seminar draws a crowd
CMM Technology took center stage as Thomas Skinner hosted their first line-up of in-house seminars for 2012.

Taking place April 10th at the Vancouver branch and April 12th at the Edmonton branch, over 50 Thomas Skinner customers were in attendance to learn from Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) expert Jeff Hamelin, Mitutoyo SSG (Sales Support Group).“Coordinate measuring machines add value to everything you make,” pointed out Peter Detmers, Mitutoyo Sales Manager.These seminars included a complete 101+ overview of CMM covering topics including:- Justification: why buy a CMM- Elements of a CMM: understanding accuracy specifications, probing systems and software applications- Introduction to CMM measurement using the touch probing system, coordinate system and geometric elementsAfter the presentation, the customers watched a live demo on a Mitutoyo CMM Crysta Apex-S544 machine using MCOSMOS CMM software.“The CMM seminars were a huge success,” said Ross McDonald, Thomas Skinner Alberta Branch Manager. “We had a nice turnout of key customers and their feedback was very, very positive.”Visit the Thomas Skinner website to learn about future events. www.thomasskinner.com
