Fein Power Tools Inc. offers the Slugger GI series of belt grinding machines. The modular system can be used for a single purpose, such as cylindrical grinding, and then for notching or polishing as needs change.
The series comprises the GIR radius grinding machine, the GIC cylindrical grinding machine, the GXW coolant module, and the GIL flat grinding module. The heavy-duty belt grinding machines are available in one or two speeds in 3- and 6-in. widths and as stand-alone units.
The radius grinding machine is designed for processing thick- and thinwall material in such applications as notching or coping of pipes, square tubes, flat materials, and profiles. The cylindrical grinding machine is made for maximum loading and centerless grinding capability. The coolant module provides a dust-free environment while reducing processing temperatures to prevent stainless steel corrosion. The flat grinder, used for machine and railing construction and welded fabrication, is the only longitudinal machine available with automatic feed.
