QualiChem has expanded the Xtreme Cut family of water-based metalworking fluids with the introduction of Xtreme Cut 292 for difficult-to-machine alloys such as titanium, INCONEL ® alloys, and stainless steels.
New lubrication technology in the fluid improves cycle times and tool life, particularly when machining exotic alloys, the company states. Also, low drag-out rates reduce coolant usage, extend sump life, improve productivity, and reduce disposal cost.
This fluid was also designed to eliminate foaming, staining, and residues.
Tests have shown that the fluid can replace straight oils in situations where other water-dilutable products have failed, the company reports.
