Grieve introduces two new ovens

No. 978 is a 500ºF, electrically-heated, two-compartment universal style oven from Grieve.

TWO-COMPARTMENT UNIVERSAL OVEN

No. 978 is a 500ºF, electrically-heated, two-compartment universal style oven from Grieve, currently used for various machine shop operations at the customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 30” W x 36” D x 36” H in each of the two heating zones.  6.6 KW per zone (13.2 KW total) are installed in Nichrome wire elements to heat the oven chamber, while a 600 CFM, 1/2-HP recirculating blower provides front-to-rear universal airflow to the workload.

This Grieve universal oven features 4” insulated walls, aluminized steel exterior, Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior, double doors and an integral leg stand.

Controls on No. 978 include a digital indicating temperature controller in each compartment of the oven, manual reset excess temperature controllers with separate contactors, recirculating blower airflow safety switches and a 10” diameter circular chart recorder, one per compartment, to record part temperatures.

1200oF ELECTRIC WALK-IN OVEN FROM GRIEVE

No. 835 is a 1200OF electrically-heated walk-in oven from Grieve, currently used for heat treating steel parts at a customer’s facility.

Workspace inside this oven measures 48” wide x 72” deep x 72” high and a maximum temperature of 1200OF is provided by 120KW power, installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular heating elements.  A 10,000 CFM, 7 ½-HP recirculating blower provides combination vertical/horizontal airflow to the load.

No. 835 features an aluminized steel exterior, 16 ga. stainless steel interior and 10” thick insulated walls, comprising 2” of 1900OF block and 8” of 10 lb. density rockwool insulation, as well as a 7” insulated floor with integral truck wheel guide tracks.

Safety and control equipment on this Grieve oven includes a 325 CFM powered forced exhauster, digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, recirculating blower airflow safety switch, and a 4-pen circular chart recorder.
