Blum-Novotest will unveil the TC64- RG roughness gauge for providing surface finish analysis on CNC machining centers.
This roughness gauge enables manufacturers to check part surface finish before removing the part from the CNC machining center. With a special stylus and the gauge’s integrated Digilog technology, a system that allows analog scanning of the part, the gauge can accurately determine surface roughness with the part in its original orientation, eliminating resetting of the part.
Surface data is recorded from the scan and transmitted wirelessly to the interface, which then compares the data to recorded data of a part with optimal surface finish. Any spike in the data can be set to automatically alert the operator.
