Vertex 750-5X Vertical Machining Center

Mitsui Seiki has updated its Vertex 750-5X line of vertical machining centers with new features, capabilities, options, and configurations. The series, comprising six models, is now called Vertex 75X II. Linear axes (X, Y, Z) strokes are 29.5 by 31.4 by 27.5 in.
The machine is now offered with a 30,000-RPM spindle, in addition to the 15,000-, 18,000-, and 25,000- RPM choices. An HSK 80-taper spindle connection for those requiring heavy-duty machining is available as an option to the existing HSK 63- and 40-taper tool interfaces.
The line includes several configurations based on table size and type from 9 in. to 19.7 in. dia. A choice of rotary axis drive systems—hightorque geared type or direct-drive— is available.
