Mazak Canada hosts educational event
On Nov. 8 and 9 Mazak Canada, Cambridge, Ont., held a two-day technical experience centred around all things automation.
The company held presentations on automation, collaborative robots, and quality control. It also showcased machines like the Variaxis i-500 AWC, a simultaneous 5-axis vertical machining centre equipped with the company’s Auto Work Changer, a palletized automation system.
A live demonstration of the Quick Turn 250MSY with GL-100 gantry robot was also given.
Mazak’s Value Inspired Partner Renishaw presented seminars on the company’s metrology and precision technologies, including a demonstration of its Equator™ gauging machine. Renishaw put together a video of highlights from this year's event, check it out here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=7e5ykoQyHzc
JMP Solutions gave a demonstration of fenceless, collaborative robotics.
Nearly 300 visitors attended the two-day event, with more than 190 students visiting the facility on Monday, Nov. 12. Local news station CTV Kitchener was there when the students attended.
