LaserCoil Technologies extends blanking line capability with automated stacking

LaserCoil Technologies LLC has added end-of-line robotic stacking capability to its coil-fed laser blanking. Available in single and dual stations, the stackers can work side by side and reach 120 SPM. They can be programmed to handle rectangular, trapezoid, patterned, contoured, and irregular shapes in aluminum and steel.
Automated stacking can help prevent marring of blank surface finish and contaminants that can be introduced during manual operations. In addition, automated vision technology allows for high-accuracy stacking without tamping or touching the edges of the blanks, says the manufacturer.
By laser cutting direct from coil stock, the blanking systems are suitable for production environments running multiple blank profiles and mixed material types. The systems can process a variety of coil material in aluminum, mild steel, and high-strength steels.
