Barton Intl. has introduced ECOtek™ general-purpose waterjet abrasives. The domestically sourced line, designed to be cost-effective, includes two types of abrasives.
80 STL is staurolite, a naturally occurring mineral that has a density and hardness similar to garnet. 80 MGS is a synthetic olivine abrasive suitable for less demanding waterjet cutting applications. They meet the same standards for grading, health, safety, and environmental compliance as the company’s garnet abrasives, the company reports.
