Kaast Machine Tools’ HCS cold saw is fully automatic

Kaast Machine Tools Inc. has introduced the HCS fully automatic NC cold circular saw, which offers a rigid design and antivibration features. The saw makes up to 500 cuts/hour for 2.75-in. bars and 400 cuts/hour for 24-in. clean-cut lengths.

Features include automatic material diameter sensing and thin-kerf (0.079 in.) blade design. A top vise keeps the material clamped to allow bundle cutting. The bar-loading magazine can hold 13 pieces of 2.75- by 20-in. bar. The electromagnetic brake and gear transmission are designed to decrease noise, vibration, and power consumption, the company reports.

Other standard features include NC with 7-in. touchscreen, trim and remnant sorting, 944-IPM bar feeding, and saw blade feed by AC servomotor and ball screw.
