Pressure-sensitive safety mats from Rockford Systems help protect operators

Rockford Systems LLC offers a line of pressure-sensitive safety mats and accessories. They detect the presence of workers, vehicles, and production materials and act as an emergency stop that removes power from a machine if it is operating or cycling. It also prevents the machine from starting. Removing pressure and switching on the control unit restores power to the machine.
When installed correctly, the mats ensure an operator or passerby cannot reach into the point-of-operation hazard before the machine comes to a stop.
The mats are resistant to wear, oils, grease, acids, and most common chemicals. They are suitable for use with robotic welding machines, waterjet systems, tube benders, conveyors, CNC equipment, and assembly machines. Each mat has a top surface with a rib pattern running parallel with the mat length to prevent slipping. The single-piece molded construction prevents delaminating, while tapered or straight edges allow configuration flexibility.
