If you are in the market to purchase or replace cutting equipment that incorporates waterjet pumps, here are some things to think about. The pump is the heart of the machine and is the second-most expensive operating cost if you are cutting with abrasive. If you use water-only cutting, then it is the majority of your operating cost. The initial investment in the equipment is not as important as the ongoing operating expense.
