Frank Armao appointed Director of Aluminum Welding Technology for Lincoln Electric

Armao will work closely with Ontario-based Indalco Alloy; a Lincoln subsidiary.

Lincoln Electric has appointed Frank Armao as their new Director of Aluminum Welding Technology.

With 40 years of welding industry experience Armao will provide customer support and applications engineering insight for aluminum welding to Lincoln Electric customers.

He will collaborate with aluminum welding technology teams at Lincoln Electric’s Cleveland headquarters and the Ontario-based subsidiary Indalco Alloys who produce high-quality aluminum wire products.

Armao has been with Lincoln Electric for 13 years. Prior to assuming his new role, Armao served as Director, Application Engineering and Country Manager, Korea, for Lincoln Electric’s Asia Pacific business unit.

Before joining Lincoln Electric in 1999, Armao served as Technical Specialist for Alcoa at its technical centre, where he was responsible for the leadership of the arc welding group in its support of Alcoa customers worldwide.

Armao earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in metallurgical engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn. He also holds positions with the American Welding Society (AWS) including one with their Welding Handbook Committee.
