Walter Surface Technologies’ SURFOX 30x cleans GMAW, GTAW welds

Walter Surface Technologies has introduced the SURFOX™ 305, a patented, electrochemical GMAW and GTAW weld cleaning system. It removes heat tint from the HAZ of GTAW, GMAW, and spot welds on stainless steel and aluminum.
The unit cleans the surface without disrupting passivation on stainless steel or altering the surface finish, and the company states that its dynamic current control protects the surface against micropitting. With an integrated tank and flow-through system, the machine delivers the electrolyte solution directly to the workpiece to minimize the risk of spillage or cross-contamination.
The quick-change brush system simplifies accessory change-out, and the brushes are designed to clean large, hard-to-reach areas.
