Subaru Canada announced that the Subaru Outback is a winner again. For the sixth consecutive year, it has won in the Car Guide's (Le Guide de l'auto) annual Best Buys announcement and presentation. The Outback is top rated when it comes to the Crossover category.
The all-new 2015 Subaru Outback, the midsize SUV-alternative, offers standard Subaru symmetrical full-time All-Wheel Drive as well as new X-mode for even more rugged capability.
Subaru's brand new 2015 Legacy secured a close second place in the Midsize Sedan category, while the BRZ - Subaru's sporty rear-wheel-drive coupe - placed third in the Sports Cars under $50,000 category.
"I'm thrilled that our completely redesigned 2015 Subaru Outback was once again named in the Car Guide's (Le Guide de l'auto) Best Buys announcement," said Shiro Ohta, chairman, president and CEO of Subaru Canada, Inc. "This knowledgeable group of journalists have pooled their impressions to determine winners. For the sixth year in a row, our Outback received top honours in its category. This incredible achievement speaks to the vehicle's enduring versatility, driveability and quality."
For 49 years, the Car Guide (Le Guide de l'auto) has been the largest automobile publication in Quebec and is the publication of choice for those considering a new vehicle purchase. To earn a place among the Best Buys, a car or utility vehicle must be evaluated on strict criteria in the categories of price, styling, fuel consumption, comfort, performance, maintenance costs, daily drivability, reliability and resale value among many others. After independent evaluations take place, an editorial consensus is made to determine category winners.
Subaru Canada also recently announced its good rating and TOP SAFETY PICK award for the 2015 Legacy and Outback. Models equipped with Subaru's optional front crash prevention system, EyeSight, achieved a superior rating and TOP SAFETY PICK+ award. With top marks in every measurement category, the 2015 Subaru Legacy and Outback aced the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's (IIHS) small overlap front crash test.
