Tsugami America taps new vice-president of sales for North America

Tsugami America, Windsor, Conn., announced that it has appointed Salay Quaranta to the position of vice-president of sales for North America.
Quaranta will lead the sales team, overseeing the Tsugami America Business Unit managers and regional sales managers in their efforts to meet and exceed the evolving customer demands.
“We are very pleased to welcome Salay Quaranta to the Tsugami America team," said Michael Mugno, President of Tsugami America. "Her previous experience affords her a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry while bringing a fresh, innovative perspective to our growing brand. As the company's sales efforts become more refined and strategic, adding strong, forward-thinking personnel to our roster is an utmost priority."
Quaranta has nearly two decades of experience in brand and business development within the manufacturing industry, with companies such as TRUMPF, Inc., alongside a decorated engineering background with organizations including Stanadyne Corporation, Fraunhofer ILT, and Joining Technologies.

Quaranta received both her Bachelor's and Master of Science degrees in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Connecticut. She is a proud member of Women In Manufacturing and has served on the Industrial Advisory Board for the Optics and Photonics Technology (LEOT) and Electronic Systems Engineering Technology (ESET) at Springfield Technical Community College.
