ABB has introduced the GoFa 10 and GoFa 12 collaborative robots. Handling payloads up to 10 and 12 kg, the cobots offer straightforward programming and rapid integration into production environments, the manufacturer states.
Tool center point speed is up to 2 m/sec. with 0.02-mm repeatability. IP67-certified against moisture and dust ingress, the cobots can be used to automate such tasks as machine tending, welding, parts handling, polishing, and assembly.
The extended reach also makes them suitable for palletizing applications.
Pre-installed on the cobots’ FlexPendant robot controller, the ABB SafeMove robot safety monitoring app includes safe speed limits, standstill monitoring, and orientation supervision so that cobots and operators can work together without protective barriers or fencing.
