Coolant-through capability added to seven-flute end mill line

KYOCERA SGS Precision Tools has expanded its H-Carb seven-flute end mills with more than 400 new coolant-through options.

Available in various lengths of cut, the new H-Carb Series 77 coolant-through end mills are suitable for deep axial trochoidal and high-speed machining applications.

The end mill’s specially designed core and flute design improve rigidity and chip flow while reducing deflection. The seven-flute design creates better finishes at higher speed and feed rates when compared to five- and six-flute tools, the company states.

These end mills are coated with the company’s Ti-NAMITE-A or Ti-NAMITE-M coating technology to increase wear and abrasion resistance and extend tool life. The chipbreaker profile is standard option and numerous square end and corner radii options are offered.

They are available in three lengths of cut (2.5xD, 3xD, and 4xD).

The end mills are suitable for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and titanium alloys that are less than 45 HRC as well as high-temperature alloys.
