KYOCERA SGS Precision Tools adds new tools to Z-Carb HPR roughing end mill line

KYOCERA SGS Precision Tools has expanded its Z-Carb HPR five-flute end mill line with more than 900 new tools, including new long, extended-reach, and chipbreaker options for numerous high metal removal roughing operations.

The five-flute design is engineered to increase productivity when compared to three- and four-flute end mills. It features variable indexing geometry, which improves chatter suppression over symmetrical designs, the company states.

The entire tooling portfolio includes various lengths, reach, square, and corner radius styles, along with new chipbreaker options to address different machining situations. These end mills are coated with Ti-NAMITE-M (for use with cast iron, steel, and difficult-to-machine materials like titanium) or Ti-NAMITE-A (for use with high-temperature alloys and stainless steels).

There are now more than 1,700 items in this tool family.
