Seco Tools has introduced the Jabro®-Solid2 JS554 line of solid-carbide end mills, which have smaller neck diameters. These tools provide greater clearance when machining complex components, the company states.
Smaller neck dimensions make it easier to access parts clamped in complicated fixturing arrangements, as well as enable machinists to perform 4- and 5-axis machining. They are suitable for machining ISO P, M, S, as well as other material groups.
They range in diameter from 3 to 20 mm and typical cutting length is 2xD + 2 mm. The tools also include corner radius and 45-degree-chamfer versions for both cylindrical and Weldon shanks.
