Capture 3D has introduced the T-Scan hawk, a hand-held 3D laser scanner that offers fast 3D data collection with the flexibility to measure tight or hard-to-reach areas.
The portable unit offers GOM Inspect 3D inspection software, integrated photogrammetry, and multiple laser sources for aircraft MRO defect inspection, 3D printing, rapid prototyping, quality control, and reverse engineering. It has three application-focused scanning modes: red crosses for larger measurement areas; single red line to reach difficult areas and deep pockets; and blue lines for dark, shiny, or reflective surfaces.
Pressing a button on the handle changes scanning modes, even while scanning is in session.
