DMG MORI demonstrates a myriad of innovation at IMTS

Their 32,600 sq ft booth, S-8900, offered attendees a look at 40 machines, including two world premiers

IMTS kicked off today with an impressive showing of DMG MORI. Their 32,600 sq ft booth, S-8900, offered attendees a look at 40 machines, including two world premiers: NHX 4000 (2nd gen.) and NHX 5000 (2nd gen.). All machines featured the new DMG MORI design and 22 of them offered CELOS and 13 of the machines were U.S. premieres. At 2pm, DMG MORI held a press conference with Dr. Rudiger Kapitza, spoke to the machine tool global market and the company's worldwide vision and global image within the market. Dr. Masahiko Mori spoke to the company's manufacturing and production presence in global markets with a focus on their new production facility in Davis, California. Highlights of the conference featured a look at DMG MORI's U.S.A. Academy - Apprentice Program that is recruiting for January 2015. DMG MORI also discussed their new partnership with Porsche and invite everyone to attend an autograph signing of Romain Dumas & Neel Jani on Sept. 9, 2014 at their booth. Further, the company highlighted their venture into additive manufacturing and offer guests a chance to view live additive manufacturing demonstrations at their booth throughout IMTS.
