FFG opens North America Technology Center

FFG Fair Friend Group, Sterling Heights, Mich., celebrated the grand opening of its North America Technology Center in mid-October.

Eighteen machines were displayed, including both vertical and horizontal milling and turning systems across various FFG brands including MAG, SMS, FEELER, LEADWELL, and FFG DMC. The displayed machines included 2-, 3-, 4-, 4+1-, and 5-axis technology.

The event included two days of technical seminars presented by the company’s technology partners.

The work began with the 2021 expansion comprising 20,000 sq. ft. to expand spare parts warehousing and the company’s spindle, fixture build, and repair operations. This year the expansion was completed, which added another 30,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing floor space and set aside 10,000 sq. ft. to establish the North America Technology Center.

“The Technology Center will be used by our dealers in North America to showcase to their customers as well as to validate the applications of parts machining and processes,” said Mike Jude, director of sales for FFG Americas. “The FFG North America Technology Center will enable distributors, partners, and end users to consult and collaborate with experts, compare different technologies, run test cuts, conduct cycle time analysis, and see FFG’s machines and technologies first-hand.”
