IMTS 2014 Preview: Universal Robots

Meet the new generation of Universal Robots at IMTS in booth E-4841. With eight new adjustable safety rated functions, Universal Robots presents the only robot in the world that adapts advanced safety settings to each specific application.

The new third generation of the collaborative UR5 and UR10 robot arms also comes equipped with True Absolute Encoders that eliminate the need for re-initializing the robot, enabling automatic start-up and easier integration into other machinery. Additional new features include adjustable safety parameters and TÜV certified safety functions for collaborative operation.

The UR5 is a 6-axis robot arm with a working radius of 850 mm /33.5 in while the the UR10 is a 6-axis robot arm with a working radius of 1300 mm /51.2 in.

These innovative collaborative robots make it easy and affordable to automate your production process. The lightweight robots can be moved easily around the production area, and the UR5 and UR10 come with a a simple user interface.
