Sodick will be showcasing the latest EDM and high-speed milling (HSM) technology, including wire and sinker machines.
The wire EDM technology includes the VZ series, new SL series that incorporates SPW control, AQ series, and the AP series with microwire and oil dielectric technology. The sinker EDM range will be represented by the AG series, which has rigid, linearmotor- powered, high-speed no flush machining, and the AD series.
An automated machining cell concept combining a TT1-400A (electrode machining center) and AG40L sinker EDM with an Erowa robot will also be shown.
The rigid, linear-motor-driven, 40,000-RPM HS650L bridge-style, high-speed milling machine will demonstrate its surface finish capabilities.
